WHAT WE DO WITH IT
Clarity tells you people scrolled and rage-clicked. Your ad data tells you what you paid to get them there. Neither is much use alone. Together they answer why a channel that looks efficient on cost keeps producing nothing, which is usually a page problem rather than an audience problem.
Worth knowing, because it changes what we can promise. Clarity's export gives us a seventy-two hour window and ten requests per project per day, with no pagination and no history behind it. A day that is not collected is gone, permanently, at any price. So we pull every morning, we take a three-day window each time so a single missed run heals itself, and we spend only three of the ten calls and leave the rest for reruns. There is no backfill because Microsoft does not offer one. The raw response is stored the moment it arrives, which is the only defence available against a source with a wall like that.
WHAT YOU GRANT
A project-level export token from Clarity's Settings and Data Export screen, plus the project id. It is scoped to that one project, it reads and nothing else, and revoking it in the same screen ends the connection.
Every read is scoped to one client before it executes. A query that reaches outside that client is rejected, not quietly trimmed. New agency clients are provisioned in the UK. Our existing estate runs on UK and European infrastructure, and we are migrating it to the same footing.
