CONNECTOR

Google Business Profile

BUILT, NOT EXPOSED

Your listing, its daily numbers and its reviews. Finished, and waiting on Google.

WHAT IT CONNECTS

Your Business Profile location, read-only, through a service account with delegated access. Nothing about this connector can edit your listing, reply to a review, or change your hours.

WHAT COMES ACROSS

What lands in the warehouse

The listing

The profile itself, as Google holds it.

Daily performance

The location's daily performance series.

Reviews

Held up further than the rest — see the status section below.

WHAT WE DO WITH IT

A local business gets found, called and visited through the listing, and none of that shows up in web analytics at all. Put the listing's daily numbers beside your paid spend and your bookings and the local channel stops being a blind spot.

WHAT YOU GRANT

Read access to the location for a Grapeworks service account under Google's business management scope, granted through domain-wide delegation on the account that owns the profile.

Every read is scoped to one client before it executes. A query that reaches outside that client is rejected, not quietly trimmed. New agency clients are provisioned in the UK. Our existing estate runs on UK and European infrastructure, and we are migrating it to the same footing.

STATUS

BUILT, NOT EXPOSED

Built and merged, but not reachable by anyone outside Grapeworks. No public surface. Do not treat as callable. Here is exactly where it stands: the code is finished, it stores the raw response from the first byte, it writes each page as it arrives, and it can rebuild its entire history from disk without one API call. It was built as the reference case for our own ingest standard.

What it cannot do is call Google, because the Business Profile APIs are approved per project and start at zero quota. We submitted the access request on 26 August. Until Google approves it, every call returns a permission error, the connector records that as a skip rather than pretending it worked, and the nightly timer is switched off on purpose so it cannot generate alerts about a decision that is not ours to make.

Reviews come from an older Google interface that is not merely unapproved but not currently offered to us at all. When the main approval lands, expect the listing and its daily numbers first. Reviews are a separate outcome and we are not going to promise them on a timetable Google has not given us.

Everything Kist plugs into, and the honest status of each.
